Getting together at The King's Church
The King's Church is not just about Meetings. The goal is to create a community in which we meet with each other throughout the week - informally, and for various reasons. Often it's just for a chat. Other times people get together to pray, or to have a meal together, or to give practical help where needed.
When We Meet...
As with any church there are set times we meet together for Worship, Teaching, Prayer, and to enjoy each other's company. The main ones are as follows:
- Our main weekly meeting - Sunday 10:30am
- Worship, Teaching & Ministry from 10:30 to 12:30 followed by refreshments and a time to talk.
- Prayer meetings
- Our main weekly meeting for "corporate" prayer is on a Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30pm at The King's Center.
- We also have a more intimate time of prayer on Thursday mornings from 10:30am, also at the Center
- Early morning prayer from 7:30 to 8:30am on happens at "Green Pastures" - 42 Aukland Road on a Saturday morning
- Before the main meeting on a Sunday you are welcome to join us for prayer for the meeting at 10:00am
- Cell Groups
- These small groups of 7-14 people meet on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 8:00 to 10::00 pm in different homes.
- An additional daytime cell group meets from 1:30 to 3:00 pm on a Wednesday lunchtime in either Ilford or Barking.
- Pulse Youth Cells meet on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 9:30 pm, also in different homes.
- Contact the Church Office to find a group near you. Better still, come on a Sunday morning first and introduce yourself; then we can direct to a Cell Group near where you live.
- Intimate worship / soaking in God's presence
- Over the last two years groups for both men and ladies have formed where we meet to soak in God's presence, seek His direction in our lives, build strong bonds of fellowship and have a platform to share things that may not be suitable in less intimate surroundings.
We also spend time socially as well, getting to know each other and forming bonds of real friendship. Not only when we meet but also with visit's to Krispy Kreme in Enfield being a popular choice of venue!- Check the Sunday noticesheet for the time and locations of both the Men's and Ladies Groups
