The Word of God brought this week:

Sunday, 27th February 2011

Teaching from the Bible is very important to us because we want to build our lives on its teaching. This may be brought by a member of the fellowship who God has laid a message on, one of our Elders or a guest speaker.

This week's speaker: David Sansum
"Knowing God and Knowing Ourselves"
Nehemiah 6:1-14
Click here to listen to this talk In the Bible God's shows us what He is like, and what people are like. As Christians it is vitally important to read the Bible to develop our relationship with God and to understand ourselves better. Dave gave a summary of some of the things that we can learn about God and people from the accounts of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Moses. We learned about the power, creativity, love, goodness, justice, judgment, holiness, mercy, faithfulness, patience, provision and deliverance that we find in God (Exodus 34:6-7). We also learned that God loves and values people, that we fall short of His standard (cause for grief) and can be very grateful indeed for His mercy (cause for joy). Christians have great cause for joy as we live in the knowledge of the mercy that was purchased for us by Jesus."
