He has called us to help Him in this task of saving the world from a ruthless oppressor. The question, are we man enough to rise to the challenge?!

He finished by observing that many more miracles seem to happen when we take the gospel out into our communities than when we keep it in the church.

Click here to listen to this talk Robin continued from where he left off last week looking at the manifestations of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Today he looked at the gift of Tongues as it was given at Pentecost and explored its meaning. A major part of this is the "undoing" of the curse of Babel where God deliberately divided mankind into nations with different languages. He went on to look at why Tongues is important for us today. The outburst of praise was the other manifestation Robin explored. A praising heart is an important part of our spiritual life, but we do seem to need constant reminders of this."

Jesus calls us to repent and follow HIM and we read that Peter said on the day of Pentecost "repent and be baptised". Pauls says in Acts "repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance."

Click here to listen to this talk Robin talked about the principle of Sowing and Reaping, and the principles of giving and receiving that relate to it. Sowing and Reaping happens not only in the natural realm, but in the spiritual also. There is a clear relationship between what we give to God and what we will receive from Him. Even though His grace often appears to override the principle, there is, nevertheless, a process which is started by us when we, often in our need, by faith give to God.

Click here to listen to this talk Georges spoke about Jesus setting an example of what the church should be about. In Luke chapter 5 Jesus starts calling His disciples. He first gives a fishing lesson to Peter, James and John then he calls them to follow Him. He goes on and cleanses a leper then withdraws to a desolate place to pray. In verse 17, Jesus is back and He heals a man let through someone's roof by his friends. Now in verse 27, Jesus walks pass and sees Levi, a tax collector then spent time with him.

He went on to look at the link between sin and sickness, and Jesus' authority to forgive sins. However, his primary goal was to help us raise our expectation that Jesus is still healing the sick, and to encourage those who need healing now, to reach out to Jesus in faith, trusting for His healing touch today.

Click here to listen to this talk Dave spoke about our attitude towards money and possessions. Jesus spoke a lot about money. He made it clear that we cannot love both money and God, and warned us that the pursuit of possessions can distract us from pursuing Him wholeheartedly (Matthew 13:22). It is good to enjoy the fruit of our labour, and possessions are not bad in themselves. However, since in modern western society we enjoy a much more materially comfortable lifestyle than in Jesus' time, it's worth examining our hearts in this matter.

Click here to listen to this talk Robin shared a gospel message based on Paul's preaching to the Greeks at Athens. He had found a way to "plug into" their culture by latching onto their idol to "The Unknown God". Paul emphasised that God is not far from any of us, but we tend to neglect and forget Him when things are going well for us. Nevertheless a day of judgement is coming, and God has warned us all to be ready for it. The King is coming!

Click here to listen to this talk Jesus calls himself the Shepherd caring for his sheep. Jesus lays down his life for his sheep dying for their salvation. Jesus wants us to have abundant life, it is the norm for every Christian. Without it life is dull and meaningless. If we do not have abundant life we can yield to fleshly life around us. The fleshy life leads to defeat but abundant life to victory.

Click here to listen to this talk Robin talked about getting a right (ie biblical) perspective on life. He looked particularly on Paul's values and priorities as he states them in v.24. Then went on to say that such a perspective can be found only through God's grace acting in our lives. We need to avoid the extremes of being driven as disciples, and also that of being lazy. The way forward is found in Col 1:27 "..Christ in you (now), the hope of glory (future). The fellowship of Christ in us now, and an eternal perspective will help to keep us looking out on life in a right way. However, to receive this grace, we need to admit our need, desire to change, and keep asking Jesus until He gives us what we need.

Click here to listen to this talk Georges reminded us that immediately after God spoke to Elijah, there was great famine in the land. He said that God's promise is always followed by God's proving ground and that is where Faith comes in. He said that Faith is simply realizing that I may not see it, I may not feel it, I can't touch it yet, but God said it, and I believe it! And, not only do I believe, but I'll act on it even when others think I'm crazy. Because God said it, I'll do it! He also said that the first obstacle that Jesus had to overcome to instill faith in his servant and everyone around him was the obstacle of history. But with faith Things that look small through the eyes of the natural become huge when you look through the eyes of the spirit!

Robin showed how just as Moses had to remain in the presence of God to reflect His glory, so do we, one of the differences being that we can take that presence with us wherever we go. Moses couldn't. Our growth in God depends on our being filled with God's presence (His Spirit). It should be a constant gradient, but that growth can plateau if we choose to let it. Robin finished with some suggestions as to how to climb up from a spiritual plateau, and keep growing in fruitfulness all our lives.

Click here to listen to this talk Georges preached about Faith, that vague thing that preachers preach about. Faith, that elusive word that seemingly cannot be defined. Faith, that aspect of our life that often seems absent. We have heard said and preached, that if we just had a little more faith, God could work. We spent time with the woman with the issue of blood and learned of her physical and mental exhaustion; as well as social rejection due to the stigma associated with her illness. But when she heard about Jesus everything changed. Georges encouraged us saying that No matter how feeble our faith may be, we need to stand on the promises of God.

Click here to listen to this talk Sunday's message was about what motivates us to gather with other believers, or 'what gets you out of bed on a Sunday morning?' Dave spoke about highly motivated people in the worlds of sport and civil rights who were passionate about something and as a result achieved great things. Three reasons to gather together were spoken of: Our relationship with God (The Great Commandment - Matthew 22:36-38) Our relationship with other believers (A New Commandment - John 13:33-35) Making disciples (The Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-20)

Click here to listen to this talk Georges stated that the reason God showed His prophet a valley full of dry bones is that it was an apt illustration, a visual metaphor of the condition of the people of God. This question will help you think of your spitiual renewal which can come when Repentance, Prayer, Faith, Will, and the Power of God by His Spirit come together.

Click here to listen to this talk Robin spoke about the different levels of God's Will - His Sovereign Will, His General Will, His Open Will, and God's Specific Will for our lives. He showed how, as Jesus disciples, we need to be keen to know His Will, and have a willingness to do it. Then he went on to look at the various different ways God does speak to us and guide us, bearing in mind all such guidance is in the context of our relationship with Him, and can't therefore be reduced to a formula.

He looked at how Christians should behave at work, and how we can respond to this kind of discrimination. He reminded us that God is in charge, and He will have His way. But sometimes He delivers us from our oppressors, and sometimes He allows us to suffer perscution if it will further his purposes better. Either way, the victory is His in the end.

Click here to listen to this talk Peter's famous defence of the Gospel contains this delightfully un-PC verse! Robin took a few moments to explore the implications for us that Jesus is the only way to God. Although it puts a great responsibility upon us, it is actually God's work, he does it through us. Our part is to stay filled with the Holy Spirit, trust and obey. We can do it by his grace only. Robin went on to remind us that this great salvation was God's vision and plan from the start. It is all about what God has done. But God had a vision for a people of his own, and he had a plan to achieve which was accomplished through Christ. Jesus had a vision that sustained him. Paul had a vision which kept him going. We need a clear vision of what God wants to do at King's.
