Click here to listen to 'Blessed are the poor in spirit...', the third talk in the Solid Food Series, in which John Pearson took us to the Sermon On The Mount in Matthew's Gospel (Ch 5:2ff), and spoke about the powerful meaning of the word 'Blessed'. He talked too, about the meaning of the phrase: 'poor in spirit', challenging us that although to have become Christians we must have some experience of this, life in the Kingdom of Heaven requires a similar dependency upon God.

Click here to listen to 'Blessed are those that mourn...', the fourth talk in the 'Solid Food' Series, in which Robin shared how God calls us to be not only aware of, but desperately grieved at our sinful state. Only when we are thus, will we realise how much we've been forgiven at the cross, and in gratitude will find our hearts overflowing with love for Jesus.

Click here to listen to 'Blessed are the meek...', the fifth talk in the 'Solid Food' Series, in which Robin explained that meekness is an attitude of gentleness, that doesn't retaliate or bridle when people speak ill of us, because it comes from our having a true view of ourselves - something we can do only when we've realised our spiritual poverty, and grieved over it.
